The number 9 revelation was revealed to the world by Richard as part of the Revolution. A retail price of $9.99 is an attempt to create an illusion. Creating an appearance that it costs less then it really does. As Gerber pointed out this was actually at an enormous expense as the cashier would need to fumble making change for the unnatural number. The customer would also be delayed waiting for change. It was also suggested that if you were flying upside down it would look like 666. It is all about the creation of appearances that hide the reality. Would you buy from a retailer that attempted to create an illusion and manipulate you?
