Renat Mansurov | ELYS Life: The World’s First AI for Mental Health

Renat Mansurov says ELYS Life did not begin with a market opportunity. It began with a personal experience.

After nearly two decades around startups, investment and entrepreneurship, Mansurov experienced his first panic attack alone in a Dubai hotel room. The experience pushed him to research the problem and eventually turn a long-standing interest in longevity into a product.

“First of all it was my personal pain.”

In this episode of REVELATIONS, Mansurov explains the thinking behind ELYS Life – an AI companion designed around stress, anxiety, daily wellbeing and longevity.

At the time of the interview, he described the platform as combining three sources of information: medical data, wearable data and daily conversations with the user. The idea is to move beyond generic answers and build support around the individual.

“Our main goal with this application is to change users everyday behavior.”

For Mansurov, AI is not supposed to replace doctors. He describes ELYS Life as part of a wider ecosystem that can work alongside clinics, specialists and other forms of care.

But the conversation eventually moves beyond the product itself. Mansurov talks about entrepreneurship, burnout, patience and the mindset required to continue building when problems become routine.

His public mission, he says, has remained consistent for years: helping people live longer and better.

Then comes the revelation.

“Maybe that I have real ambitions also, not just a mission.”

“First its mission but second its ambition. I want to create something that nobody did before.”

And he goes further:

“I want to build an empire.”

For Mansurov, mission and ambition are not opposites. The question is what ambition is ultimately used to build.
